What you can safely try
- Power the phone off immediately and leave it off. Do not check whether it still works.
- Unplug it. Charging a wet phone is how boards short out for good.
- Dry the outside and shake water out of the ports gently.
- Bring it to us the same day if you possibly can.
- Tell us exactly what liquid it was and how long it was in.
When to stop
- Do not put the phone in rice. It does nothing useful and it wastes the hours that matter.
- Do not use a hair dryer or oven. Heat drives moisture deeper and damages seals and adhesives.
- Do not keep turning it on to test it. Every boot spreads corrosion.
- Do not charge it, wirelessly or by cable, until it's been inspected.

Does rice work for a water-damaged phone?

My phone got wet and still works. Am I fine?
