What causes this
- Face-down drops that crack the front glass or the OLED panel underneath it.
- Charge cycles: iPhone batteries lose meaningful capacity after roughly 400 to 600 full cycles, and the drop-off accelerates.
- Lint packing into the Lightning or USB-C port until the connector can't seat.

Symptoms to look for
- Cracked glass, unresponsive touch areas, green or purple vertical lines, or a black display that still makes sounds

- Face ID stopped working, or the front camera is blurry

What you can safely try
- Check Settings → Battery → Battery Health & Charging for maximum capacity before assuming the battery is fine.
- Force restart before concluding the phone is dead.
- Try a known-good Apple cable and a wall outlet rather than a car charger or laptop port.
- Look into the port with a flashlight — packed lint is common and completely normal to inspect.
- Back up to iCloud or a Mac or PC while the phone still powers on.
When to stop
- Don't clear the charging port with a metal pin or paperclip.
- Stop using an iPhone with a lifting screen or swollen back and bring it in.
- Don't keep drying and re-powering a wet iPhone. Repeated boots make corrosion worse.
- Don't buy a kit and open it yourself. The display cables and the sensor flex behind the screen tear easily, and the adhesive seal that keeps dust and moisture out doesn't go back the way it came.
Before you come in
- Know your passcode. We need it to test Face ID, cameras, and speakers after the repair.
- Turn off Find My if we ask you to for a specific repair.
- Back up to iCloud if you have the time and Wi-Fi.
- Bring the case off and mention any prior repair, wherever it was done.

- No appointment needed. We're open Monday through Friday, 8 AM to 3 PM, and walk-ins are how most repairs start.

How long does an iPhone screen repair take?

Will Face ID still work after a screen replacement?
Yes, on a properly done job. Your Face ID hardware is matched to your phone and stays with your phone — a screen replacement doesn't swap it out, it just has to be worked around carefully. If Face ID was already broken before the crack, replacing the screen won't bring it back, and we'll tell you that before you pay.
Do you use genuine Apple parts?
The panel and part options vary by model. Rather than making a blanket claim, we explain exactly what we'd install on your specific iPhone and what the trade-offs are before you decide.
My iPhone says 'Unknown Part' after a repair elsewhere. Can you help?
Often yes. Bring it in and we'll tell you what was installed, what the message means for your phone, and what it would take to resolve it.
Is an iPhone battery replacement worth it?
On a phone that's otherwise healthy, it's usually the highest-value repair there is. If your battery health is in the 70s and everything else works, a new cell buys you years, not months.
Can you fix a water-damaged iPhone?
Sometimes. We evaluate the board, clean it, and tell you honestly what we think the odds are. Liquid damage repairs don't carry the lifetime warranty, and we say so up front.
